ARTEQ Kabuki Drop DMX is a professional DMX-controlled curtain release system designed for stages, theaters, concerts, events, and installations.
Unlike traditional systems, the fabric is held directly by a magnetic clamp, so no eyelets, hooks, or additional hardware on the curtain are required.
It depends on the size, weight, and type of fabric.
As a general guideline, we recommend spacing the units approximately 1–1.5 meters (3–5 ft) apart. For unusual, heavy, or large curtains, please contact us and we will help you determine the appropriate configuration.
No. Kabuki Drop DMX works with standard DMX512 and can be integrated into your existing lighting or show-control system. No proprietary controller is required.
Kabuki Drop DMX works with many common stage fabrics up to approximately 3 mm thick.
For very smooth, slippery, heavy, or unusual materials, we recommend testing the fabric before the show. A small folded or reinforced edge may improve grip when working with slippery fabrics.
Kabuki Drop DMX includes a manual release mechanism, so the clamp can be opened without power when necessary.
Kabuki Drop DMX operates on 110–230 V, 50/60 Hz, making it suitable for professional use in different countries.
Yes. Because Kabuki Drop uses standard DMX control, it can be synchronized with a curtain sniffer or other stage equipment through your show-control system. This makes it easy to coordinate the curtain release and fabric removal as part of one cue.
Absolutely.
If you are planning a specific installation or are unsure how many units you need, send us your stage dimensions, curtain size, fabric type, and a brief description of the effect you want to achieve.
Our team will help you choose the appropriate setup before you order.
ARTEQ Kabuki Drop DMX is covered by a 2-year limited warranty.
